Sue Geraghty Eckert has served as the Mayor of the Village of Northville since April 1, 2022, having been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Village of Northville from April 1, 2018 until elected Mayor. She recently retired from the New York State Education Department. Ms. Eckert graduated from Ithaca College in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Psychology. She continued her education at The College of Saint Rose graduating with a Master of Science in Education degree with a concentration in Special Education in August of 1979. Her teaching career began at LaSalle School for Boys in September 1979 until August 1984. She then taught for Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery County BOCES from September 1984 through February 1986. Ms. Eckert began her career with New York State in February of 1986, first as a teacher at Tryon Secure until October of 2005 and then working for the New York State Education Department as a Regional Associate in the Office of Special Education until her retirement in April of 2024. Northville Central School holds a special place in her heart as not only is she an alumnus, but her mother and children are as well. She is dedicated to being a part of ensuring that future alumni continue to experience the same educational excellence and nurturing environment that she and her family received.

Ms. Reidell has a rich background as an elementary teacher, with experience spanning 14 years, including Kindergarten, and has been serving as principal for the past 7 years. She is a respected and trusted member of the community, known for her passion for early childhood education. In 2022, she successfully applied for and was awarded a grant for our preschool program.
